Note Design Studio Creates Sustainable Immersive Experience in Milan for Vestre

Vestre Habitats, featured at this year’s Milan Design Week, was designed by Note Design Studio for Vestre. Awarded “Best Stand” at Stockholm Furniture Fair 2020, the studio fully executed on Vestre’s commitment towards sustainability. As such, for this year’s Milan Design Week 2021, the sustainable furniture manufacturer tasked Note to reuse as much material as possible from last year’s fair in Stockholm to create an immersive installation.

In part, the reusability of the stand is rather efficient in that all of the materials used – such as hollow brick, stone, pine plywood and double polycarbonate boards – could be easily reused within themselves and generate minimal waste as well.

The exhibition included a modular outdoor seating system created by Note Design Studio themselves. Other pieces included a bench and planter called Stripes, along with seating created by Andreas Engesvik and Jonas Ravlo Stokke for the new Munch Museum that opened in Oslo.
